This is Real Life

{pretty, happy, funny, real}

This is a fixture from my Aunt Barb, and I really love it.  It is now hanging in our living room, shining beautifully and casting rainbows here and there in our previously dungeon-dark living room.

We have been addressing a shelving crisis in our home.  My enormous $75 dollar Craigslist find has been doubled stacked on most of its shelves for some time now.  Jason decided to build me two bookshelves.  They turned out great!  My hope was that one would be for my harp music and paraphernalia, and the other would be a "current school books" area.  A shelf for Joel, a shelf for James, and well, yes, Jack "needs" a space, too.  Josie doesn't care yet, thankfully.  But there's a shelf for her, too, when the time comes.

This is a series of pictures that I've finally gotten off the camera and loaded onto the computer.  It's from right after we moved into our current home, just under a year ago.  Josie was determined to get on the tricycle.  Let's see how she does....

This goes in the category of "all time favorites"

at first

you don't
succeed,

try,
try, again.

I am also now able to post our pictures from the Pumpkin Patch, back in October.  Better late than never.  As you can tell, we Texans aren't used to cold weather.  We were all freezing!  And yes, two of my children were wearing shorts, and we had to borrow a sweater and leggings for Josie to wear!

These are so great. Thanks. I miss you guys already and it's only been a week. Josie is adorable on her pumpkin.
